The materials & legacy of Doc Reinhardt

The Donald S. Reinhardt Archive

A preservation and discovery platform for one of the largest surviving collections of Doc Reinhardt teaching artifacts and related research material. The Reinhardt Materials Archive is a growing digital repository for the large trove of artifacts preserved across the personal collections of Doc Reinhardt's students, researchers, and others inspired by his work. The collection includes books, unpublished lesson handouts, audio recordings of lessons and masterclasses, and second-order reference materials created by later students and scholars. The goal of this site is to collect, preserve, quality-enhance, and organize these materials so they can be searched and explored through artificial intelligence, including chat-based interaction and a knowledge graph that reveals concepts, relationships, and historical connections across the archive.
